After an exciting first leg of ISA World SUP Championships in Copenhagen, we drove to the countryside of Vorupor popularly known as Cold Hawaii which is Denmark's hotbed for surfing and standup paddling scene for the second leg of the ISA SUP event. The technical races and SUP surfing were scheduled for over a period of a week at this coastal town in Northern Denmark. Although our main specialty event was distance racing which we had just finished taking part in Copenhagen, we were also taking part in technical races at Vorupor.

We arrived at our beautiful Airbnb farmhouse in the countryside town of Snedsted 15 miles away from the venue where we settled in comfortably over next one week experiencing the countryside, Danish breakfast, exploring the area around region and of course, some fantastic time at the ISA World SUP Championships at Cold Hawaii watching the best of SUP athletes battling it out in the technical races and SUP Surf on a stormy chilly day.

It was a huge learning curve for Team India once again at the second leg of the event with technical races with good paddling but not great paddling at the world stage but a good experience and a huge learning curve for a young team like India. I am sure they know the commitment required and have come back with the great amount of learning and determination to work harder. As Vice-President of Surfing Federation of India and from the organization's perspective we can only hope that we are on the right track to be a competent nation in surfing & standup paddling.
