It was another exciting year for me to see Team India taking part in ISA World SUP Championships for the second year in a row. Our athletes Sekar Patchai and Tanvi Jagadish are progressing well and getting much needed international exposure to be able to participate and excel at the highest level with the top standup paddlers in the world. They put a spirited performance and are determined to excel in future events.

The event itself was a great spectacle and definitely caught the attention of the entire country with its hero Casper Stienfath winning the sprint race in front of a huge roaring crowd at the Royal Opera House which was broadcasted around the country. Personally, it was heartening to see how a small country like Denmark is producing some amazing athletes in the sport, maybe we can take a leaf out of them to encourage more ocean sports in India.

Apart from the event, Denmark was a great experience for us to witness and experience Danish way of life, culture, and countryside. Copenhagen was stunningly the most beautiful cities I have ever been to with its perfect blend of past and present. It's also one of the most public-friendly cities in the world with its cycling rich population, many convenient modes of transportation, excellent planning, and multi-cultural society.
