Here are my 2017's best surf photos from various surf trips and surfing events. It was a great year in terms of traveling and shooting a lot of surfing action, it all started with a surf trip to the Andaman Islands with a rad crew in early March. I was going back to Andamans after almost a decade, that is where my surf photography had actually begun back in 2007.

Post-Andamans Surf trip, I went to Bangladesh to shoot some footage for a documentary featuring these inspiring surfer girls of Cox Bazaar. Immediately after that, I was busy preparing for the second edition of Indian Open of Surfing in Mangalore which was a huge event. By the time when monsoons arrived we surfed some epic monsoon swell in Mangalore before taking off to a well-deserved surf vacation to Bali with friends from Mantra Surf Club, one of the best surf trips ever!

On returning from Bali, I got busy with the 5th edition of Covelong Point Surf Festival which was another fantastic surfing event with great vibes and surfing action, saw the emergence of some young talent. Surfing in India has come a long way definitely from a decade ago. Immediately after the Covelong festival, I took off to Denmark for ISA World SUP Championships with Team India which went quite fairly well. In the meanwhile, an epic surf trip was getting planned with prAna, an apparel brand from California which had Chris Burkard touring India after a long time. The trip with prAna and Chris Burkard went amazingly well where we scored epic surf with the likes of Nole Cossart, Anna Ehrgott, and Kishore Kumar. Overall 2017 has been very kind to me in terms of surf trips and photos and I hope it continues to 2018 as well.
